Sonya Cheatwood is the Owner, Artistic Director, and Instructor of Esprit Dance Academy, fulfilling her lifelong dream of directing a dance program to inspire youth. She began dancing at age 4, training at Mamie’s School of Dance and performing at various prestigious events. After gaining experience teaching gymnastics and dance, she opened her studio in January 2015. Over ten years, Esprit has achieved significant growth and recognition, with students earning top honors and scholarships. Sonya continues to enhance her skills through classes and workshops while balancing her family life with her passion for dance and all things performing arts.
