TEAM Class and Rehearsal Schedule
Since we are in a very unusual time, and are unsure what our day-to-day lives are going to contain, we are scheduling things on a more week-by-week basis for the time being.
NEW!! CLI CLASSES
Since we are missing out on a lot of extra training options with conventions being cancelled, and since we can’t be in the studio to work on our basic technique and training, I’ve signed up for CLI’s paid subscription service for the studio. Parents, you’ll need to create an account using YOUR information so that your child will be able to view the videos and practice with them according to the schedule below.
So here is a schedule for the girls for the rest of this week. This needs to be treated as our NORMAL for a while. It is NOT OPTIONAL just like if we were normally in the studio. I have been getting a few excuses for missing class or practice because “you had to go to the store, made plans, having dinner, don’t feel like it, etc” which none of that would happen on a normal basis, you would not do other things when you normally have class at the studio. If you would like to remain on team and be able to continue dancing in your group routines when all of this is back to normal, you ARE REQUIRED to train as instructed and provide proof of your training for the classes that are not LIVE with me. Live classes (which really only was team yesterday and I am doing recital classes the other days of this week) are at scheduled times that you cannot miss the exact time! The other training may be done at any hours of your day, CLI can be logged into and pulled up and worked on throughout the day as well as your practicing your competition routines can be done at any time throughout the day as long as it doesn’t interfere with any of our scheduled LIVE times you need to be on for.
Parents must supervise/ensure their dancer completes all the required training during this. They will join in LIVE with me everyday for warmup and stretch and then for the CLI classes, dancers are required to send me a video of their end combination (they may need to keep rewinding the videos and practicing until they get it down) It doesn’t have to be perfect just like in class but needs to be the BEST they can do with all their efforts. These videos will be for my eyes only just to see their proof of practice and work and if I would like to share any I will ask before doing so. For them to practice their competition routines, you will need to pull up their music on our studio site. If you need help with that please text me. Please print this schedule for them and each day parents need to sign off on everything and at end of week send me picture of the signed schedule. Thank you! I know this is putting a much larger responsibility on you as parents. Our younger dancers have been the most engaged and active with their training because the moms are more on top of them and making sure they are working and “showing up” for everything. Some of my older dancers are the ones who normally should be able to responsible enough and self-disciplined enough to keep up with their training, HOWEVER, the majority of the above excuses are coming from my older dancers (teenagers) and so I guess I have to ask parents to help me in enforcing your dancer to train hard just as they normally would. I cannot be at your house to get them out of bed, get their hair up and in dance attire, and put forth the energy. If they cannot do this on their own because they love dance enough, then you as the parent must be the one to make that happen and force them to do what is needed if they would like to remain on this team and not be taken out of routines after all this is over. I greatly appreciate all the parents who make sure their child is dancing everyday and doing everything they should be doing during this time. You guys ROCK. Everyone needs to pull their weight during this time so our team which was so strong can remain that way.
