✨ Trust the Process
A gentle reminder: casting, placements, and class assignments are always fluid. This is part of the journey, and we encourage everyone to trust the process and stay positive. Every class, rehearsal, and training opportunity matters for your growth as a dancer. Let’s continue creating a supportive, uplifting environment for all dancers and instructors.

📅 Important Deadlines

  • KAR Convention â€“ Last chance to register! Be sure you’re signed up if you plan to attend.
  • Team Jackets â€“ The order deadline is today, don’t miss it!
  • Backpacks Update â€“ The current backpack is out of stock, but a new updated version is being sourced. We’ll share more as soon as it’s available.

🎪 October Market – Volunteers Needed
We are excited to be part of the October Market! This year’s event will be held in the evening (4–9pm). We’ll need parents and dancers to help volunteer with our booth and presence at the market. The more helping hands we have, the easier the shifts will be for everyone!

Thank you all for your dedication and positive energy each week. 💙

CASTING

✨ Casting & Training Updates
Please remember that casting is fluid and will change as we go throughout the season. Dancers should check casting updates often and be ready for adjustments. Trust the process when it comes to casting, training, and rehearsal placements, and keep a positive mindset. Every class and rehearsal matters for your growth—treat each one as an important part of your training. Let’s continue building a supportive and uplifting environment for everyone!

Community Events – First Saturday Market

SATURDAY October 4, 2025 will be October market and there WILL be a performance aspect. As a reminder, ALL team families will need to commit to at least one event this season in some way. While we love all of our dancers to participate, only a parent volunteer will count toward that requirement.

Community Events – Fall-O-Ween and BloodHound Bash

THURSDAY OCTOBER 16 – Both Events

Team Reminder
All team dancers are required to participate in our Fall-o-Ween event and the Bloodhound Bash Parade. These are important community events, and we want our whole team represented! 🎃🖤

We’ll also need parent volunteers to help with:

  • Bloodhound Bash float
  • Booth setup for Fall-o-Ween
  • Event setup and teardown

Volunteer sign-up information will be shared soon—please plan to help where you can. Thank you for always stepping up to support our dancers and community!

Rehearsals

September rehearsal schedule is out! You can see it on your app under Team>Month Overview or under Parent Portal>More>Studio Calendar (click through week/day/month views to see all dates for the month.

At this point all rehearsals are in the calendar and set, so please be sure you know what routines you need to be present for!

This week:

Friday 5-8pm PT#3

Prior Engagements

Be sure to put in any prior engagements for October as soon as you have them! We will close the form down on the 20th, and then once the monthly rehearsal schedule is released please check it immediately and put all dates in your calendar!

DRESS CODE AND SUPPLIES

Just a friendly reminder to show up ready for class according to dress code and have the correct (brand and color) shoes. If you’ve ordered your shoes and they’re not ready for the first week, just let us know. You can wear your feet bare for the first class, but please try to get them soon so you can have the best possible experience with us! As a reminder, ALWAYS be checking your dancers’ shoes and belongings to see when they’re getting outgrown/worn out and need replacement. Be sure to write their name in permanent marker so they can make it back to them when they get lost or misplaced!

Bonus/Add On Classes

Most levels of team have additional optional classes as drop-in or enrollment options. Check the daily and weekly schedules to see what might be available for your dancer! As a general rule:

  • Star Squad/Rec Plus
    • Rec Plus/Star Squad dancers will definitely be able to take Tuesday Acro and certain performance team classes as optional add-ons, and certain dancers may be able to take Tuesday or Wednesday performance team classes as optional add-ons as well.
  • Performance
    • Most performance team can definitely add Friday recreational classes as a drop-in option (we’ll guide you on level 1 or 2 on an individual basis) and Acro on Tuesdays 4pm.
    • Certain performance team dancers will be able to also take Thursday 4-5 ballet as an option, and certain other drop-in classes with our younger competition team each week.
  • Competition
    • Competition Team dancers will be able to add Monday ballet/pointe as optional drop-ins, as well as certain Performance Team Wednesday classes optionally.

Solos

Reminder for Soloists
Solo sessions are scheduled based on teacher availability, so you may not always have a teacher-led session each week. On weeks without a teacher, you are encouraged to reserve studio space and practice what you know so far. This way, you’ll be ready to move on when you meet with your teacher again.

Studio space can be reserved through the Parent Portal > More > Private Lessons. There is no charge to team members for using studio space, but it must be reserved in advance so we can be sure the studio is open for you.

We also recommend teaming up with other dancers—bring a couple of friends to practice together! It’s a great way to feed off each other’s energy and take turns working through choreography.
